She lives in Pleasant Gap with her husband, Kyle, two children, Emma and Joshua, and their two dogs, Duke, a German Shepherd, and Dutch, an American Staffordshire Terrier.
Dr. Lennie
Veterinarian
Dr. Lennie Rae Vangorder was raised in nearby Centre Hall. She attended Wilson College, where she graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Medical Technology. She completed her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. In 2022, Dr. Vangorder fulfilled a lifelong dream to own a veterinary clinic after she and her husband, Joshua Cox, purchased Kolbrooks Veterinary Clinic, where Dr. Vangorder had worked for 13 years. The previous clinic owner would not sell the name with the business, so the clinic was renamed Willowbrook Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Vangorder now lives with her husband, Josh, and her daughter Peyton on a small farmette that was part of her grandparent’s dairy farm.
They share their home with 3 cats: JC, Elliot, and Sawyer, as well as 3 dogs: Mira, a Golden Retriever mix, and Parker & Scarlet, both Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. You may see Parker & Scarlet hanging out at the clinic, as they come to work every day and are the official canine ambassadors at Willowbrook! Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Vangorder and her family breed and raise a nationally competitive herd of dairy goats that are protected by their livestock guardian dog, Knox. They use goat milk to raise pigs and calves, as well as for drinking and cheesemaking. In addition to the goats, their daughter rides and shows her ponies, Mouse & Jacob. Animals have been a lifelong passion of Dr. Vangorder, and there are few parts of her life that do not involve animals.
